1. Using the post system
Royal Mail handle our outgoing post and we use a franking machine which is housed at Reception. Our Front of House team will frank all outgoing post ready for collection by Royal Mail at 4:30pm every weekday.
Click here to see more about using our Post System>>, including using “Signed For”, “Next Day” and “Recorded Delivery” services and information about posting items overseas.
2.Ordering couriers
If you are sending something urgent locally or within the UK you may wish to use a courier. We have an account with a company who provide:
-
Bicycle couriers – for urgent small items within London’s West End/The City (check area covered with Reception)
Motorbike couriers – for larger packets and parcels
Van courier – for heavy boxes/parcels or larger items, often travelling outside London
Always check with Reception if you are unsure of what type of courier you require. Remember that sometimes it may be quicker/cheaper to send certain items by bicycle courier than by Royal Mail’s “Next Day” service – Reception will be happy to help you.
If you wish to send something overseas by courier (rather than by Royal Mail) then please speak to Reception.
3. Archiving Paperwork
We try to keep very little archive paperwork on site at the office in order to save space. We use an archive company with various secure storage facilities around the UK. It’s quick and easy to recall items from our archive and the company even has a ‘next-day’ service which gives us easy access to any urgent papers.
Please see Pippa Abbott if you want to archive any paperwork or if you want to recall some old items from our archive.
